I Live for Your Death

In this gritty Spaghetti Western, Steve Reeves plays Mike Sturges, a cowboy wrongly sentenced to Yuma Territorial Prison on a trumped-up train robbery charge, and he's driven by a burning desire for revenge against those who wronged him and his younger brother Roy, also imprisoned. With its tense atmosphere and Reeves' rugged performance, "A Long Ride from Hell" (1968) is a revenge tale of unyielding ferocity, as Mike sets out to exact justice on the men who betrayed him. Based on Gordon D. Shirreffs' novel Judas Gun, this film marked Reeves' final foray into cinema before his retirement, and its dark themes were likely a factor in its poor box office performance.
