The Dying Gaul

In 1995 Hollywood, a novice screenwriter's autobiographical script impresses studio executive Jeffrey Tishop and his wife Elaine, but only if he changes the protagonist's identity from Maurice to Maggie and shifts the focus to straight people. Robert Sandrich accepts the $1 million paycheck and makes the requested edits, leading to a complex web of relationships as both Jeffrey and Elaine find themselves attracted to him. Using online chat rooms, Elaine manipulates Robert into believing he's communicating with his dead lover, but the truth about her seemingly perfect marriage is eventually revealed, prompting a confrontation that leads to tragedy.
