The Monkey King 3

The third installment of the Monkey King franchise, The Monkey King 3, brings together the iconic characters Sun Wukong, Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing as they inadvertently enter a nation populated by women raised to believe that men are fatally deceptive in matters of the heart. As they search for a way out, they discover that romantic love is the only key to opening the gate, but their exploits provoke the anger of a deity that decides to punish them for their actions. Based on the classic novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng'en, The Monkey King 3 was released in China on February 16, 2018, and received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its engaging character moments and others criticizing its lackluster story and CGI effects.
