The Flying Mouse

In this charming Silly Symphony animated short, a young mouse fashions wings from a pair of leaves and, to his great amusement, attempts to use them – only to fail miserably and face ridicule from his own brothers. After rescuing a beautiful blue fairy butterfly from a spider, the mouse wishes for wings once more, but finds himself ostracized by both birds and bats alike due to his bat-like appearance. Fortunately, with the fairy's words of wisdom, "Be yourself and life will smile upon you," our hero learns to accept himself and is welcomed back home by his loving mother and three brothers in a joyful celebration of self-acceptance and friendship.
