In 1870s Arizona Territory, former soldier Merrick Beckford (Myles Clohessy) must guide a wagon full of medical supplies through hostile Apache territory after an Apache attack. He teams up with three outlaws, including gunhand Charlie McKee (Thomas Jane) and his associate Edmund (Armie Hammer), to survive the treacherous terrain. However, when they accidentally kill an Apache scout, all bets are off, and survival becomes a deadly game.
