All the Money in the World

The 2017 film "All the Money in the World" tells the true story of John Paul Getty III's kidnapping in Rome in 1973 and his mother Gail Harris Getty's desperate attempt to secure her son's release by convincing her wealthy grandfather Jean Paul Getty to pay the ransom. As she travels to Getty's estate, Michelle Williams portrays a determined and loving mother, while Mark Wahlberg plays Fletcher Chase, a negotiator tasked with securing the family's release. Meanwhile, Christopher Plummer stars as J. Paul Getty, who ultimately agrees to pay the ransom after being persuaded by Chace's words of resignation.
