Amaryllis Campos (Roselyn Sánchez) is a classically trained Puerto Rican ballerina who dreams of leaving her impoverished home to pursue fame and fortune as a dancer. In New York City, she works in a seedy strip club to make ends meet, becoming the club's hottest attraction. As she navigates her life, Amaryllis must decide between true love and realizing her dream of becoming a star, weighing the sacrifices required for success against the comfort of staying close to family and loved ones back home.
