Atropia

Atropia is a 2025 American war satire film directed by Hailey Gates in her feature length debut. The film follows an aspiring actress Fayruz (Alia Shawkat), who poses as a fictional country in a military role-playing facility, and finds herself falling for a soldier cast as an insurgent, Abu Dice (Callum Turner). As their unsimulated emotions threaten to derail the performance, they must navigate the blurred lines between reality and simulation.
