Shop Spoiled

One day in the lives and loves of the staff at Bunting and Hobbs, a large London department store, is portrayed in this 1954 drama film. The story focuses on Peggy French (Joan Rice), who is struggling to balance her career ambitions with her personal life, particularly after a breakup with her fiancé Leslie Randall (John Gregson). Meanwhile, other shopgirls face their own challenges, including Yvonne Pascoe (Josephine Griffin), who is dealing with an unexpected pregnancy and the disapproval of her wealthy mother-in-law.
