At the height of 1960s student rebellions and rock-and-roll, two brothers find themselves entangled in a dangerous conflict between journalists and the secret service when Tomáš (Vojtěch Vodochodský) joins his brother Pavel's (Ondřej Stupka) prestigious newsroom at the Czechoslovak Radio. Tomáš must navigate a treacherous web of censorship, communist propaganda, and State Security surveillance to protect his brother, ultimately risking his own life to broadcast uncensored information about the Warsaw Pact invasion. As he becomes closer to Věra Šťovíčková (Tatiana Pauhofová), a journalist who joins the editorial team, Tomáš must reconcile his concern for his brother's safety with his own conscience.
