Children of Shatila

The film "Children of Shatila" (1998) is a documentary that follows the lives of two Palestinian children, Farah, age 11 and Issa, age 12, living in the Shatila refugee camp in Lebanon. As they are given video cameras to express their thoughts and feelings, the story of the camp comes alive through their personal narratives. The film sheds light on the experiences of the 15,000 people residing in the camp, including displacement, unemployment, and poverty, fifty years after their grandparents were exiled from Palestine.
