"This Boy Caught A Merman" is a 2012 Japanese animated film that tells the story of Shima Kawauchi (Yuki Kaji), a 17-year-old high school student who forms an unlikely bond with Isaki (Hikaru Midorikawa), a merman he meets while saving his life. Despite their differences, they begin to open up to each other, but love across species is not simple.
