Nate Kroll (Jemaine Clement) is forced to move into his father's retirement community after losing his job and wife. There, he finds work folding towels and gets roped into directing a production of The Mikado with the quirky residents, including Allison (Ingrid Michaelson), who becomes a source of inspiration for Nate's writing.
