My Father's Shadow

Two young brothers, Akin and Remi, join their estranged father Folarin on a day trip to Lagos during the 1993 Nigerian election crisis. The family's journey is marked by both the city's vibrant energy and their father's daily struggles as political unrest threatens their return home. Alongside their father, they experience various activities, including visiting an amusement park and swimming at the beach, while Folarin bonds with his sons, teaching them about fraternal love and sharing stories of his childhood tragedy. As evening falls, the family faces chaos and uncertainty as the election announcement sparks widespread unrest, forcing them to flee the scene.
