Spirit of the Game

In the lead up to the 1956 Olympic games, a group of missionaries are tasked with helping Australia's fledgling basketball team compete in their first ever Olympics, and in doing so, unite a nation still coming to grips after the war. Based on the true story of the Mormon Yankees, an American basketball team that played in exhibition games before the 1956 Summer Olympics, this film follows DeLyle Condie as he leaves behind his college basketball career to find redemption and connection through the sport. With fierce competition with France leading to a bloody rematch, DeLyle's passion and faith are put to the test as he proves himself on the court and unites a nation.
