Michel, a young technician in the TV industry, flirts with his best friends Juliette and Liliane, who are aspiring actresses. When he invites them to watch a film at his place, their relationship evolves into dates and ultimately, heartbreak. As the Algerian War looms, Michel's holiday to Corsica with both women is cut short when they follow him there in search of a film director who owes him money. Ultimately, the rift between Juliette and Liliane becomes clear as they watch Michel sail away to France.
