The 12-year-old Boston boy Justin Colter learns about wilderness survival from his mountain-dwelling father, and applies those skills when he's kidnapped by two gangsters, Maddox and Kendall, during a family vacation. As part of their plan to get rid of Justin, they hand him off to Burke and Hogan, who are tasked with "taking care" of him. Justin eventually outsmarts them using the outdoor knowledge his father taught him, leading to an action-packed chase through the woods.
