Model follows the Zoli modeling agency, owned by Zoltan "Zoli" Rendessy, as it screens aspiring models and connects them with clients, showcasing fashion sequences, Manhattan street scenes, and behind-the-scenes moments of photographers at work. The film presents a view of the intersections of fashion, business, advertising, photography, television, and fantasy, highlighting the monotony and lack of autonomy in the modeling industry. Zoli himself, his employees, models, clients, and photographers are all featured, including Andy Warhol and Apollonia van Ravenstein.
