Beat

The film "Beat" is based on the true story of two murders that shaped the lives of several college students who went on to become influential writers of the "Beat Generation." It focuses primarily on the last several weeks of writer Joan Vollmer's life in 1951 Mexico City, leading up to her murder by her husband, William S. Burroughs. Courtney Love stars as Joan Vollmer alongside Kiefer Sutherland as William S. Burroughs, Norman Reedus as Lucien Carr, and Ron Livingston as Allen Ginsberg.
