Ainara, a 17-year-old student from the Basque Country, announces her intention to join a cloistered convent, surprising her family and sparking deep family rifts. Her father, Iñaki, is initially supportive but later confronts him about his priorities; her aunt, Maite, an atheist cultural manager, tries to persuade Ainara to reconsider. Meanwhile, Ainara's relationships with her friends, particularly Mikel, deepen as she navigates her desire for a life of prayer and contemplation. The film follows Ainara's journey as she weighs the costs and consequences of her decision, ultimately taking the vows and becoming a cloistered nun.
