Front Cover is a 2015 American romantic comedy-drama film that follows Ryan Fu, played by Jake Choi, a gay Chinese American fashion stylist who rejects his Asian heritage to climb the social ladder. He assigns himself to style Ning, an actor from Beijing, for a top magazine photo shoot, but their opinions clash as they try to create an image representing the power of the new China. As they work together and develop feelings for each other, Ryan and Ning open up about their personal struggles, including being closeted and ashamed of their heritage. The film follows their journey as they navigate their relationship and confront the consequences of Ning's exposure as gay in a Chinese tabloid magazine.
