Goodbye, Mr. Chips

Academy Award-honoree Peter O'Toole stars in this musical classic about a prim English schoolmaster who learns to show his compassion through the help of an outgoing showgirl, Petula Clark. Michael Redgrave plays The Headmaster, and George Baker appears as Lord Sutterwick. The film is set against the backdrop of World War II, with Peter O'Toole's character, Arthur Chipping, falling in love with Katherine Bridges, a music hall soubrette, who tragically dies in a German V-1 flying bomb attack while entertaining troops.
