In the sleepy village of southeastern Turkey in 1948, customs officer Mehti's duty to set up the border between Turkey and Syria sets off a chain reaction of pain, division, and cultural clashes that will ultimately tear families, languages, cultures, and lovers apart, leaving behind a community forever changed. This darkly surreal comedy is based on a true story and stars popular Turkish actor Kemal Sunal in his final film role before his death the following year.
