Possessed

"Possessed" is a 1931 American drama film directed by Clarence Brown and starring Joan Crawford as Marian Martin, a factory worker who rises to become the mistress of wealthy attorney Mark Whitney (Clark Gable). As their affair deepens, Mark presents Marian as his wife to cover up her true nature, but their love is put to the test when Al Manning, the man who once hoped to marry Marian, tries to use Mark's wealth to secure a contract.
