Johnny Mad Dog

Johnny Mad Dog is a gritty and realistic drama about a group of child soldiers fighting for the Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy (LURD) rebels in 2003 during the Second Liberian Civil War. Led by teenage rebel Johnny Mad Dog, played by Christopher Minie, the young boys are commanded by older General Never Die, who feeds them cocaine, and terrorize and execute the population as they march towards the capital Monrovia. The film depicts a feral and pillaging army, with scant regard for even their own lives, wearing outlandish outfits and nicknames such as No Good Advice and Chicken Hair.
