Rakka

Rakka is a 2017 American-Canadian military science fiction short film made by Oats Studios and directed by Neill Blomkamp. It follows the story of resistance fighters in Texas as they battle against a technologically superior alien species, the Klum. The humans, led by Jasper (Sigourney Weaver), fight for survival against the Klum's destruction of their homes and attempts to control their minds. Meanwhile, Amir (Eugene Khumbanyiwa), a mute with precognitive abilities, is taken in by Sarah (Carly Pope), who helps him recover and develop his abilities to fight the Klum. As the war of attrition between humans and Klum intensifies, Sarah urges Amir to use his powers to help humanity's survival.
