Hyperspace

In this 1984 comedy sci-fi film, Chris Elliott stars as William Hopper, a timid exterminator who helps Paula Poundstone's character, Karen, escape from the clutches of Lord Buckethead, a parody of Darth Vader. After a chaotic adventure, Hopper and Karen must rescue her from Buckethead's ship before it's too late, all while Max, played by Alan Marx, is trying to pass an important exam. Eventually, Hopper confronts Buckethead and is killed by Chester, aka Captain Starfighter, played by R.C. Nanney, in a Superman-like outfit.
