Over the next four years, Parker anonymously protects New York City as its celebrated hero Spider-Man, defeating major criminals, earning the trust of police detective Jean DeWolff, and regularly visiting his aunt May's grave. When Parker's personal struggles and overworking cause his superpowers to evolve, he faces a new telepathic threat. As Parker struggles to control his new abilities, he must confront a shocking new villain, a powerful telepath named Jean Grey who is searching for "V-Max".
