Sacrifice

In 6th-century BC Jin, a duchy under the Zhou dynasty of ancient China, a ruthless tyrant named Tu'an Gu slaughters the entire Zhao clan in a brutal power struggle, leaving behind only one infant survivor: the young Zhao Wu. When the sole survivor is discovered by Cheng Ying, a doctor who delivered him, he must choose between his own family's safety or saving the child. A heart-wrenching web of deception and revenge ensues as Cheng Ying enrolls the orphaned boy into Tu'an Gu's household, plotting to use him as an instrument of vengeance when he comes of age.
