Decision at Sundown

Bart Allison (Randolph Scott), his partner Sam, ride into Sundown seeking revenge against Tate Kimbrough for seducing and abandoning his wife Mary, leading to her suicide. Upon arriving, Bart's hatred fuels tension in the town, where Tate has taken control through fear and economic influence. As tensions escalate, Lucy Summerton, Tate's fiancée, begins to question her involvement with him, while Ruby James intervenes to save Tate from a confrontation with Bart. Ultimately, Ruby shoots Tate, forcing Bart to accept the truth about his wife's death and leave town, watched by Lucy and Dr. Storrow.
