Picking up five years after the apocalypse was vanquished, Laura and Carmilla are living their best lives in Toronto. Laura has been trying to start her career as a journalist, while Carmilla enjoys being human again. However, things take a dark turn when Carmilla starts showing signs of "re-vamping" - from fondness for bloody treats to accidental biting - and Laura experiences bizarre, ghostly dreams. The couple must now team up with their old friends from Silas University to uncover the unknown supernatural threat and save humanity, including Carmilla's life.
