Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson find themselves in 1890s London, investigating a puzzling case involving Emelia Ricoletti, a woman who appears to have survived a fatal shooting and is now committing copycat crimes. Characterized by his analytical mind, Sherlock deduces that these are not genuine crimes but rather the work of a duplicate corpse. The investigation leads him to uncover a secret group of women from the Women's Rights Movement, whose members include Dr. Hooper and Watson's maidservant, who have been using the persona of the avenging ghost Bride to murder men who wronged them.
Note: The story is revealed to be taking place within Sherlock's Mind Palace, where he experiences hallucinations caused by cocaine use, and ultimately discovers that Emelia Ricoletti is not a real person, but rather a creation of Moriarty.
