Iron Monkey

In this Hong Kong variation of Robin Hood, corrupt officials of a Chinese village are robbed by a masked bandit known as "Iron Monkey", named after a benevolent deity. When all else fails, the Governor forces a traveling physician into finding the bandit. Dr. Yang / Iron Monkey (Yu Rongguang) is actually a traditional Chinese medicine physician who runs a clinic and provides free medical treatment for the poor during the day, while at night he dresses in black to rob the rich and help the poor. The governor's chief constable, Fox, appears to be a bungler but secretly helps Iron Monkey. When Wong Kei-ying (Donnie Yen), a physician and martial artist from Foshan, arrives with his young son Wong Fei-hung, he becomes embroiled in the mystery of Iron Monkey, leading to a series of intense battles and showdowns between Iron Monkey and the governor's men.
