As the Gods Will

High school student Shun Takahata finds his life boring, but suddenly he's forced to participate in a deadly game of daruma san ga koronda, where classmates are killed unless they can press a button on a Daruma doll's back. Shun and his friend Ichika survive by cleverly manipulating the next game, Maneki Neko, and then face a series of challenges in Kagome Kagome and Shirou Kuma. Ultimately, only two students, Amaya and Shun, remain, but just as it seems they'll escape, the true nature of the games is revealed, leading to a surprising conclusion that leaves Shun questioning whether there's really no god.
