A High Wind in Jamaica

When a hurricane hits Jamaica in 1870, the Thornton family sends their five children to Britain for proper schooling, but their ship is taken over by pirates who become fond of the kids. The pirate captain, Chavez (Anthony Quinn), and first mate Zac (James Coburn) decide to sail to Tampico and leave the children with Rosa, a good-hearted brothel madam. However, when one of the children dies under suspicious circumstances, Chavez's men mutiny, and he is taken prisoner by the Royal Navy. Emily Thornton, the favorite child, mistakenly stabs the Dutch captain who is trying to save her, leading to a dramatic turn of events that changes the pirates' fate.
