Brain on Fire

Chloë Grace Moretz stars as Susannah Cahalan, a young writer at The New York Post who falls ill with a mysterious condition that causes her to experience seizures and hallucinations. With the help of neurologist Dr. Souhel Najjar (Thomas Mann), she is finally diagnosed with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, a rare brain inflammation that could have been fatal if not treated promptly. As Susannah recovers, she begins writing about her experiences, eventually publishing a memoir that helps thousands of people worldwide.
