When Ah Bu (Shu Qi) discovers a romantic message in a glass bottle, she sets out on a journey to find its writer, Albert (Tony Leung Chiu-wai), a lonely gay man. Along the way, she meets C.N. Chan (Jackie Chan), a wealthy recycling company owner who becomes her love interest. As Ah Bu's boyfriend from Taiwan searches for her in Taipei, the action and romance follow her back to her hometown, where rivalry between business rivals Howie Lo (Emil Chau) and C.N. adds to the complexity of her relationships.
