A 15-year-old boy, Don (Thomas Sangster), with terminal cancer draws comic book stories of an invincible superhero as he struggles with his mortality. He is sent to therapy, where he meets Dr. Adrian King (Andy Serkis), and later attends a party with his classmate Shelly (Aisling Loftus). As Don navigates his final days, he faces the challenges of growing up and finding love, amidst the guidance of Dr. King.
