Gabbeh

An elderly couple, accompanied by their young daughter Gabbeh (Shaghayeh Djodat), cleans their gabbeh rug by a river, where she magically appears. The film follows her story and the audience learns about her family, including her uncle's hopes for marriage, as well as her longing for a young man she wishes to marry.
