The Basement

In this gruesome and gruesomely entertaining thriller, a seemingly innocent man is abducted by a notorious L.A. serial killer known as "The Gemini" who forces his victims to switch roles with him so that he can enact his own capture, torture, and murder. The film's setup scene promises horrors in store, but ultimately delivers on the basic premise of abduction and torture porn with only minor surprises. With impressive production values and a stellar lead performance from Jackson Davis as the unhinged killer Bill Anderson, "The Basement" is a tense, if unoriginal, horror ride.
