"Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985) is a quirky drama revolving around mistaken identity in an unlikely story. It’s entertaining enough to follow the tangled web of messages in the personals section of a New York City tabloid as Roberta Glass, a bored housewife from Fort Lee, New Jersey, becomes obsessed with free-spirited woman Susan Thomas, only to inadvertently take on her persona when she visits Manhattan.
