The First Purge

In 2014, a sociological experiment goes horribly wrong on Staten Island as the New Founding Fathers of America test a theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. The NFFA's attempt to reduce crime by releasing societal inhibitions for 12 hours leads to chaos and bloodshed as the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the oppressed, with the contagion spreading beyond the island borders and igniting a nationwide crisis.
