Sam Philips (Philip Sayer), who was abducted by aliens three years earlier, returns to earth and seeks out his wife and son. His reappearance is awkward for Rachel, who has been living with Joe Daniels, as Sam's presence also affects her son Tony in frightening ways, as he struggles with the transformation of his father into a half-human, half-alien creature.
