On a stormy night, a mute servant named Helen attends a silent film screening in a local inn, where she becomes embroiled in a string of brutal killings targeting women with disabilities. As she is stalked by a serial killer in the rural mansion where she works for her ailing employer, Mrs. Warren, Helen's muteness and physical disability make her a vulnerable target.
