The Divine Order

In 1970s rural Switzerland, Nora Ruckstuhl is a quiet and liked-by-everyone housewife who sparks controversy when she publicly advocates for women's suffrage in a referendum on February 7, 1971. Joining forces with an older woman named Vroni, who claims to have been a supporter of the cause since its inception, Nora organizes events to draw attention to their issue. As her activism gains momentum, Nora faces resistance from her husband and the community, but ultimately finds a way to bring about change through a women's strike that forces men to fend for themselves.
