A History of Violence

Tom Stall (Viggo Mortensen), a diner owner in Millbrook, Indiana, becomes a local hero after he foils an attempted robbery that leaves two spree killers dead. As Tom's fame grows, his troubled past as Joey Cusack, a former mob hitman, begins to surface, threatening the stability of his family life with wife Edie (Maria Bello) and teenage son Jack (Ashton Holmes).
