Sanju explores some of the most crucial chapters from movie star Sanjay Dutt's dramatic and controversial real life, focusing on his drug addiction, arrest for his suspected association with the 1993 Bombay bombings, relationship with his father, and acting career. Ranbir Kapoor stars as the title character with an ensemble supporting cast including Vicky Kaushal as Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Anushka Sharma as Winnie Diaz, Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt, Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Sonam Kapoor.
