Double Whammy

Ray Pluto is a New York City police detective whose life is turned upside down by a series of misfortunes that leave him a laughing stock in the city. Haunted by memories of his wife and child dying in a traffic accident, Ray retreats to his couch to smoke marijuana, but finds solace in Dr. Ann Beamer, a chiropractor who helps him recover from a back injury. Meanwhile, his partner's secret comes out, a rebellious teenager plots to kill her father, and thugs threaten the building where they all live.
