Get Shorty is a 1995 American gangster comedy film that follows Chili Palmer, a Miami mobster who gets sent to Los Angeles to collect a debt from a Hollywood producer specializing in cheesy horror films. When Chili meets the leading lady, romantic sparks fly, and he learns that being a mobster and being a Hollywood producer are not as different as he thought. With its ensemble cast, including John Travolta, Gene Hackman, and Rene Russo, this film blends violence with humor to create an entertaining comedy-thriller.
