On Election Day 1968, Warren Beatty stars as George Roundy, a promiscuous Beverly Hills hairdresser who juggles multiple relationships with women like his girlfriend Jill (Goldie Hawn), his mistress Felicia (Lee Grant), and Jackie (Julie Christie), who is also Lester's affair. As the evening unfolds, George becomes embroiled in a series of awkward encounters at a Republican election-night soiree, where he must navigate his relationships with multiple women, including Jackie and Jill, amidst a backdrop of 1960s counterculture excess.
